The horizon turns to fire around a tropical island resort. When all of the adults disappear in a devastating rapture, two boys compete for leadership over the surviving kids. Despite their differences they must lead the group to safety, both from their own dangerous power struggle, and from an onslaught of apocalyptic beasts that rise up from beneath the earth.
